Seeing my Pride - Grateful work

This week I attended a public hearing as a Town Planner.

A hearing is like a meeting

There were lawyers, town planners, commissioners, architects, landscape architects, and members of the public.

It was a very good experience and I'm grateful for the opportunity 🙏

I realised the Town Planner's role is important because my work directly impacts people.

I could see so much of my own pride.

I realized I have a strong professional opinion.

And that my own opinion creates a lot of karma.

I tried hard not to judge the other experts who spoke at the hearing.

The experience really pushed me and I learned a lot. Especially having to speak in front of other people who were all older than me and more experienced.

Before the hearing, I made a lot of efforts to meet my team mates.

We met for coffee's and talked through our differing opinions so we could be one voice.

I realised being TOGETHER is very important.

I was happy with myself because I spoke from my heart.

I could see a lot of my negative mind inside me and how I portray that negative mind to the world.

I realised my body is being controlled by my mind and the things I have in my mind.

The experience made me feel sorry that the world has to be a place where people fight over what is right.

I am very grateful for the experience 🙏
