This week I met my landlord for the first time.
We scheduled a meeting to discuss what needed to be fixed in the house.
Prior to the meeting, I was thinking about how I would demand a few things from her.
I was already playing an aggressive scenario in my head.
“You need to fix the thing in the kitchen”
“You need to do this…”
Luckily, the night before I had been reading the book “How to have a meeting with God, Buddha, Allah” by Teacher Woo Myung.
I want to get along better with people.
In one of the chapters, it says:
“Compliment others, then they will like you”.
Woo Myung also says:
“Always be humble and sincere; when you have these minds, others will like you”.
At the last minute, prior to my landlord stepping foot in her house, I remembered these words and decided not to attack.
Our meeting went surprisingly well.
I said one compliment to her.
And we laughed.
She said she would install a heat pump for the house.
Everything panned out with a nice flow.
Upon reflection, I can see I am a “wolf-fighter”. He’s always there inside.
Fortunately, Woo Myung’s words are here to quieten the wolf boy.
Wow, really nice reflection Dave, great job
